Hi, I’m Douglas Corzine. I cover theater, culture, and the people who make both.

My writing has appeared in the New York Times, Vanity Fair, Town & Country, Interview, and more, and I was a 2026 National Critics Institute fellow at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center.

I care about how performance intersects with politics, identity, and history. Whether I’m writing about a push to unionize performers, a documentary play reckoning with white supremacy, or a solo staging of the Odyssey in Ancient Greek, I look for the stories behind the scenes.
